IEEE Guangzhou Section (logo on the left) was formed on November 18, 2017. It is situated in the North Asia region, known as the IEEE new Region 10. As a branch organization of IEEE, IEEE Guangzhou Section is a non-profit technical organization which provides services to IEEE members who live and work in Guangdong Province, China.

As of January 1, 2026, there are a total of 6444 IEEE members in the IEEE Guangzhou Section, including 81 Fellows and 1027 Senior Members. Non-members who wish to join IEEE can visit the the main IEEE site and then click on the Membership button. The IEEE Guangzhou Section is one of the most vibrant and dynamic IEEE Sections across the globe and it has shown significant growth in membership through the introduction of targeted new Chapters and Student Branches. The IEEE Guangzhou Section has been awarded the 2019 R10 Best Membership Growth Large Section Award. Right now, there are 39 Chapters, 2 Affinity Groups, 8 Student Branches, and 8 Student Branch Chapters.
